How to Show Detailed Galaxy S10 Plus Lock Screen Notifications
Samsung’s One UI update brings a major visual overhaul along with Android Pie. Even so, you may have noticed your lock screen looks a lot less helpful than it used to. By default, One UI relegates all of your notifications to icons rather than the full notifications displayed on the lock screen previous versions used. This is far from pleasant on your new Galaxy S10 Plus and I am not the only one complaining about that.
Instead of showing detailed notifications on the lock screen, Samsung tries to make us like that creepy unread notifications icon. I know that it’s all about privacy and similar stuff, but it also means that you will have to unlock your Galaxy S10 Plus to view any new notifications which can quickly get annoying.
Switching from any other Android device makes this procedure nothing more than a waste of time. What I like though is that Samsung’s One UI is highly customizable which means that you can make things as they used to be once again. Well, you can get detailed notifications to show up on the lock screen if that’s your wish.
How to Show Detailed Galaxy S10 Plus Lock Screen Notifications:
- Open the Settings app;
- Then, you have to scroll down and tap Lock screen;
- Scroll down and tap Notifications;
- Change the View style from Icons only to Detailed;
- This will show full notifications on the lock screen of your Galaxy S10 Plus. If you wish to hide the content of the notifications, you may also enable the Hide content option. You can find plenty of other useful lock screen notification related options here. This includes their transparency level or the view style;
- If you want to see your notifications on Always On Display, then also tap Show on Always On Display in order to turn the toggle on.
With these settings adjusted to your liking, the next time you pull your S10 Plus out of your pocket, you’ll see full notifications on the lock screen for the top three notifications. At the same time, the rest are confined to icons at the bottom of the list.
