MWC 2014: The Ultra Slim Grand Memo II
The Ultra Slim Grand Memo II has just been revealed by its ZTE manufacturer at MWC. We know from the start that the company wasn’t necessarily planning on a big entrance for its device, but it has simply tried to give the market an affordable premium phone. In these conditions, although this ZTE Grand Memo II is expected to come in China during April, with Europe, Asia Pacific North and America also scheduled to foin the list soon after, we don’t think that it is too early to take a first look at its specs:
Thin Body and Surprisingly Large Screen
ZTE has presented its handset as being an ‘ultra slim’ one and this is exactly what we are getting: this smartphone measures no more than 160.8 x 82.8 x 7.1 mm, so it is surprising indeed with its 7.1 mm thickness, especially that Grand Memo II is such a large model.
Here we can find 6-inch HD display with a 1280 x 720 resolution and beneath it Grand Memo II packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 paired with 2GB RAM and no less than 16GB storage. Things don’t look at all bad if we take in consideration its 13-megapixel main camera, not to mention that ZTE is also promising that its Grand Memo II is supposed to last ‘a few days’ of normal use thanks to its 3,200mAh battery, as well as around 16 hours playing HD video.
Android 4.4 OS along with MiFavor 2.3 User Interface
As you are probably expecting, Grand Memo II features Android 4.4 OS version coated in a skin of the company’s MiFavor 2.3 user interface, but this isn’t such a bad thing even for those for are only thinking of KitKat and nothing else. As the company has also mentioned at MWC, its MiFavor user interface comes with a set of new abilities including shrinking down the display for easier one handed operation, so you might give it a try and see how things work.
