Facebook is finally going to push the promised update to the Facebook for Android application. We must tell you from the start that this Facebook 4.0 will bring a completely changed design and several improvements, but there is no reason to be worried about that. It won’t take you so long to get used to it as long as everything makes sense and it is specially created to make everything easier. For example, in all the versions of Facebook we were used to have three options for Photo, Status, as well as Check-in, but with Facebook 4.0 Update you will find all these floating in the bottom, offering you continuous permission.

There are also major differences regarding its settings bar on the left, as well as a new title banner just placed into the left side of the action bar. The banner area might seem at first the same one, but if you take a closer look, you’ll notice that it has a new search bar, while underneath to that you can find the main bar having five new interesting icons with the following options: Pending friend requests; News Feed; Status updates; Notifications and Menu.

So, if you already are in the beta group, you can give a try to this update without waiting any longer, but if you aren’t, you can install the APK file. You should know though that you won’t have the chance of enjoying the entire package of features wit this APK file, according to our source. But, if you have no other choice, there’s a risk that you have to assume. And don’t forget that you must delete the current Facebook app and turn off the automatic updating from Play Store as long as there is a big chance for Play Store to update it with the official current version, i.e. 3.9, after that.
