Galaxy Note 4 and LG G3 to have Waterproof Designs

Here we want to talk about a new report claiming that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 and LG’s G3 devices will both be IP67 waterproof and dust-resistant. There is no mystery that Sony has first introduced this feature on its Xperia Z smartphone back in 2013 and we have seen it on so many other smartphones and tablets since then, so this information might prove to be real for Samsung and LG as well. But we still don’t have an official confirmation from any of these companies at this point. It is also worth to be mentioned that another report from a Korean website confirms the idea that Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphones will be dust and water-resistant.

Liquid Silicon Moulding for Galaxy Note 4

This new report clearly mentions that Samsung has already decided to use the same method of Liquid Silicon Moulding that we have already seen it as being used for its Galaxy S5 smartphone. In these conditions, LG G3 and Galaxy Note 4 models are expected to receive an IP67 certification that will make the smartphones dust-resistant and waterproof, with the ability to be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for no less than 30 minutes.

What else is known?

If you are curious to find out what else is known about these devices, here we have more details: current rumors say that Galaxy Note 4 will most likely come with a 6-inch QHD display with a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, also being the first Samsung smartphone to ship with a 64-bit Exynos processor. And what’s more interesting, the handset Galaxy Note 4 will even include a fingerprint scanner in its Home button, just like we have seen on Galaxy S5.

When it comes to LG G3, we can also tell you that the handset will have a 5.5 inches 1440 x 2560 QHD display and an octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2.2GHz and other four clocked at 1.7GHz. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 won’t be the only Android smartphone to come with fingerprint scanner, but so will LG G3, from what it has been rumored.
