Plants vs Zombies 2 China release date for Android spotted
As you know, the beloved game, Plants vs Zombies 2, started rolling out almost a month ago, and still no sign of it on Android devices. However, it seems that those in China will receive the game app very soon. The game had a huge success until now: 25 million downloads in just two weeks after its release, and we’re talking about the iOS version. No need to mention that, once the Android and PC versions are out, the game will be downloaded even more. How many of you don’t play a game on their phones while waiting for something or traveling with a bus or subway?
We’re hoping that Plants vs Zombies will also arrive on Android smartphones and tablets, as the original game, released in 2010, eventually arrived for multiple different platforms. And the second part exceeded the number of downloads that the first ever had, in just one month. According to our source, recent reports state that the game will hit Chinese Android handsets this month, mentioning three major retailers: Baidu AppSearch, 91 Assistant, and HiMarket. Google Play Store is not available in China. September 12, or in some cases, September 17 are suggested as release dates, but who can know until it’s official?
Update: The Plants vs Zombies 2 game is now available in China, only via Baidu’s AppSearch Android market, for free. You might want to play it offline, however, as it requires permissions such as sending SMS messages. The game comes with a new map-based progression system and a mix of themes and costumes (from pirates to mummies to the wild, wild west). It might be fun, just be sure to consider the risks first. We’ll be waiting for the app to hit the Google Play Store as well and we’ll tell you all about it.
