LG Brings forward the 21.5-inch AIO Chromebase Desktop PC
Things have never been better for LG Electronics, as they continue to impress us with their smartphones and gadgets, being on a constant release on the market. If you`re not impressed, I am. LG has done it again and has earned two points on my most valued and appreciated smart solutions scale, after Samsung and HTC. The South Korean have recently revealed their first-ever all-in-one computer Chromebase, powered by Google Chrome. LG has been able to finally provide an AIO device, which is exactly what customers were expecting, after most of the new notebooks have been receiving Google`s branding “Chromebook”.
According to the company and to our source which seemed to confirm the news, the desktop PC will be also displayed at the CES Event in January 2014. Don’t panic! The AIO system is already available, so you will not have to wait until January. The LG AIO Chromebase Desktop PC has a 21.5-inch widescreen, and with a Full HD IPS display that provides an astonishing 178-degree viewing angle.
What I was impressed though, was its Intel Celeron CPU`s fourth-generation hooked up with a 2 GB, and running on Google Chrome OS. I told you the desktop was a killer.
Let`s have a look at the desktop`s other features and specs: first would be a reasonable capacity of 16GB iSSD, with ports like USB 2.0×3, HDMI-in, USB 3.0×1, LAN and a whole lot more. Secondly, what makes LG stands in the front-line, is its package of integrated Google applications. Interestingly, the Chrome Web Store allows you to navigate through thousands of web apps, working just fine online as well as offline.
Caesar Sengupta, the vice president of product management explains better: “LG’s Chromebase is an exciting new form factor that expands the options available to customers who want a fast, simple and secure computing experience for the home, school or office. LG Electronics makes great devices that customers love, and we’re glad to welcome them to the Chrome family.”
Concerning the pricing, LG hasn’t revealed news on that. Let`s hope they will done it soon. Until then, enjoy the LG smartphones.
