A while ago, Xiaomi launched its Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite. There is no doubt this one is the best devices from Xiaomi for those with a limited budget. I am quite impressed with this new device, but the camera. Well, it isn’t the greatest out there and you already know that. Google camera is far better than any other option, so I bet that you want it too, right?

This time, an XDA Senior member, ARNOVA8G2 ported the Google Camera for Mi A2 Lite and this brings HDR+ and Night Sight features to the top. HDR+ and Night Sight

HDR means High Dynamic Range. Whenever you take a photo on HDR mode, the camera captures three photos instead of one. A photo is regular, while the second is captured by increasing the brightness, so that the details of the dark part are found in the details. As in the third, your camera takes photos by reducing exposure, so that you can get the details of the part which is shining too much. And when these photos get attached to each other, then the final result will get very awesome. That’s the magic of HDR+.

Night Sight is another interesting feature for the Pixel camera that helps you capture vibrant and detailed low-light photos without a flash or tripod. Before you press the shutter button, Night Sight measures your natural hand shake and how much motion is in the scene.

If the handset is stable and the scene is still, Night Sight will spend more time capturing light to minimize noise. If the device is moving or there’s significant scene motion, Night Sight will use shorter exposures, capturing less light to minimize motion blur.

These sound great, isn’t it? However, you need to know something. Well, as it usually happens with ported APKs, the app has a few some bugs in it. This includes EIS, video focus and slow-motion quality, but you don’t need to worry. This time, every bug is fixable and in the coming ports, these glitches will surely be taken care of by the developer.
