New LG Mid-Range Line: L Series III Specs
LG doesn’t just offer us high-end devices, but it also takes in consideration the needs of those having a limited budget. So, it’s an ideal time to be talking about the new LG mid-range line presented as L Series III and including the 3.5-inch L40, the 4.5-inch L70, as well as the 4.7-inch L90. Although we have told you from the start the category they belong to, it also seems that LG has eliminated any compromises regarding their style, not to mention that each of these handsets will launch with Android 4.4 KitKat version, Google’s most recent OS.
Quick Window smart cover
Even from the start we want to tell you that this L Series III is about to come with a refined metallic frame and even with a surprising Quick Window smart cover. As Dr. Jong-seok Park, the president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company has mentioned, this Quick Window is actually the first cover that the company has especially designed with the idea of mid-range devices in mind, not to mention the protection that is supposed to offer against drops and bump.
LG L40
The first model from the alleged L Series III line comes with a modest 3.5-inch 480 x 320 resolution display and gets the power from a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage; as for its 3MP camera, we know that it might not sound that promising, but we have warned you from the start that these devices are just mid-range ones, so you should only expect more from the next two versions.
LG L70
When it comes to the LG L70 handset, we can find a much better4.5-inch IPS display with a maximum 800 x 400 resolution, as well as 8MP or a 5MP rear camera depending on the market. But the 1.2GHz dual-core processor remains unchanged (just as its 4GB of internal storage), at least offering instead 1GB RAM.
LG L90
As for the top device of this line, we can tell you that it houses a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 8GB of internal storage, while the 7-inch IPS display is supposed to have an improved 960 x 540 resolution as well. But we cannot give you any details regarding the image editing tools provided by its 8MP rear shooter; we only know that it comes along with a secondary 1.3MP front camera.
Regarding the availability of this new LG mid-range line, we can tell you that there’s no word regarding when these devices will hit store shelves. But it is not so hard to see that they are dedicated to 3G data markets, so the chances to see them in any American carrier are limited.
