HTC Gets Its Plans on Three Wearables with Google Now
There are some sources stating that the HTC smartphone maker is “secretly” planning the go ahead of three new smartwatches, with one of them reportedly ready to be launched at the Mobile World Congress, which is due next week. Bloomberg, the one responsible for the reported news, states that we shouldn’t expect a face to face unveil, as it is more than possible that the HTC Company will roll out the gear behind doors.
But ahead the event taking place next week, the same famous Bloomberg has leaked some info concerning these three wearables tweaked in some minor details.
It is rumored that one of the smartwatch would sport the same Qualcomm processor also present at the ToQ smartwatch. The device would also feature the great “battery efficient Mirasol display”, which is seen on the HTC Cher Wang, meaning that the problems associated with the battery efficiency has already been taking care of. Along other features, this smartwach also enhances Bluetooth connectivity hooked as a music player.
The next smartwatch model would be the first model that would feature Google Now and an AMOLED display, instead of the first aforementioned model using Mirasol technology. HTC announced a series of smartwatches featuring Google Now ever since last October, which we might thing that this is a pretty credible piece of information.
As for the third smart that HTC would launch concerns a “smart wristband”, to also report our source. We are talking about a thin touch-screen watch display, which will be also used for music play.
But what is perhaps the most annoying thing about these reports, is that Bloomberg`s sources states that these products are unlikely to hit the market ever, with all the rumors confirming the launch of one of the smart watch at the event next week.
For what I am concerned, HTC means serious business when planning ahead some interesting technology like these wearables to compete with its toughest rivals like Samsung and Sony. The hint is there, the products will be launched eventually at some point, as the company`s future is critically relying on that.
