Asus Zenfone 4, 5 and 6 to be Released in China on April 11
We have seen the Asus Zenfone 4, 5 and 6 trio announced back at CES in January and we have also discussed about Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 as devices that are about to be released in Taiwan, in April, but now we have fresh news. It seems that all three handsets are going to be released in China as well, as Asus has just announced on Weibo that the three Zenfones will go on sale on April 11. And we can already tell you the prices that we are talking about: Zenfone 4 will be yours for $100, the Zenfone 5 will cost about $150, while the 6″ Zenfone 6 will be priced at $200.
Asus ZenFone 6
The largest among all these handsets is the ZenFone 6 one, as you can already guess from its name, sporting a 6-inch display (with a modest resolution of only 720 x 1280 pixels), as well as a dual-core 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal memory.
Its 13MP camera comes with the so-called ASUS PixelMaster technology, as well as with a secondary 2MP front-facing camera, not to mention the large 3,300 mAh battery. And don’t forget that ZenFone 6 comes in four interesting color options which include Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, as well as Champagne Gold.
Asus ZenFone 5
Next in the line is the ZenFone 5 which has the same 720p display, but this time it only measures 5 inches. We know that this resolution of is a disappointing one, but at least the display can be operated through gloves and its other specs are decent enough.
The handset gets its power from a dual-core 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 processor (paired only with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory); as for the included cameras, we only have here an 8MP camera on the back and not a 13MP one, as we have seen on Asus ZenFone 6. And the battery is also smaller, having a 2,110 mAh capacity, so there is no surprise than this model is cheaper than ZenFone 6, being priced at only $150.
Asus ZenFone 4
Here we are at seeing ZenFone 4, the smallest among the three handsets, coming with a modest 4-inch WVGA display and housing just a dual-core 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 processor. This time we have 1GB of RAM to support the processor, as well as 4GB of internal memory instead of 8GB.
Its 5MP rear camera comes with Digital image stabilization, Digital zoom, Geo tagging, but it still has no chance to be compared to the one found on its bigger brothers. And the story is similar for its 1,200 mAh battery, so that’s why this ZenFone 4 will be so affordable ($100).
And we have one more thing to tell you: although they are all running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the KitKat updates are in the works as we are talking for all three handsets and it will launch later this year.
