Galaxy Tab 4 Range is Official: Samsung announces 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 Versions
We have heard several rumors regarding an upcoming Galaxy Tab range, but only now Samsung has decided to make it official. Coming in three 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 versions, we must tell you from the start that this line is an unexpected surprise. Samsung has completely changed the design from its previous Galaxy Tab 3 series offering us much thinner bezels and a better weight, not to mention that the specs are much more tempting as well. Although we don’t have a price tag for any of these Galaxy Tab 4 versions, we still invite you to discover their most important technical specs. Sometimes, when you discover what you have been looking for a long time, the price doesn’t even matter that much:
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0
The first model in our range is Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 which is the smallest member in the new family as long as it measures no more than 107.9×186.9x9mm and weighs 276g. Specs-wise, this model that we have here comes with a 7-inch display sporting a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, also getting its power from a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor paired with 1.5 GB of RAM.
And let’s not leave aside that it is equipped with both 3 megapixel and 1.3 megapixel front facing cameras, as well as with 8 or 16 GB of internal memory with the ability to expand any of these numbers by using a microSD card. Moreover, we can tell you that Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, but we cannot tell you of what battery capacity we might be talking about. This is an aspect which is yet to be revealed.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0
The next Galaxy Tab 4 model is none other than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 which has the exact dimensions of 124 x 210 x 7.95mm and a total weight of 320 grams, still being comfortable to hold and use. This time we are talking about a 8-inch display (but with the same resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels), while the power is offered by a1.2 GHz quad-core processor which is paired with 1.5 GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
Sadly, we can only find a 3 megapixel main camera accompanied by a 1.3 megapixel front-facing one, but those 16 GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 64GB sound much better. And in Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 case we know for sure that the company is offering a 4,450mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1
Finally, here we are at Galaxy Tab 4 10 biggest model which measures 243.4 x 176.4 x 7.95mm and weighs about 487 grams. Despite of the fact that it has a 10.1-inch display, the 1280 x 800 pixel resolution is unchanged and so is its 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1.5 GB of RAM.
The camera sensors are also identical and we like the fact that we are talking about Android 4.4 KitKat and not an older version. And don’t leave aside that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is powered by a much generous 6,800mAh battery.
All these Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 will become available in both Black and White color options starting Q2 this year, so stay tuned for more details. We have a feeling that we’ll return sooner than you might be expecting with fresh details!
