HTC Butterfly 2 Certified by NCC in Taiwan
For those of you who don’t remember, HTC Butterfly series was introduced a few years ago, but we have all imagined that it will never receive a new member due to the fact that it has been officially replaced by the HTC One series in 2013. We couldn’t have been more wrong and it seems that HTC is preparing to release a new Butterfly 2 handset as we are speaking.
We can assure you that this is not just a rumor as long as this HTC Butterfly 2 has just been certified by the NCC which is the Taiwanese authority considered the equivalent to the FCC in the United States. As we can all see, the handset carries the model number B810x, but its official name is HTC Butterfly 2, the Taiwanese company offering us the second generation Butterfly device that many people have asked for.
What will this HTC Butterfly 2 offer us?
If we take in consideration all the previous rumors, it seems that HTC’s upcoming Butterfly 2 is equipped with a Snapdragon 800 chipset and a quad-core Krait 400 CPU, also sporting a 5″ 1080p display. Moreover, NCC has just revealed that the phone supports GSM, WCDMA LTEE 700MHz, LTE 800MHz and LTE 1,900MHz, so there is no doubt that it will work on four different network bandwidths in the Taiwanese market.
As for the other markets, the document from NCC confirmed that HTC Butterfly 2 has Bluetooth, NFC and WLAN as well, so there won’t be any problem at this chapter.
When it comes to its design, we can only tell you that some press renders of HTC Butterfly 2 leaked back in May showing us some colorful front panels. According to those images, we are expecting to see this HTC Butterfly 2 in several color versions such as black, red, silver and even brown, with the same rounded corners that we have been used to receive form the series for such a long time.
