HTC Butterfly S Gets Android’s KitKat 4.4 Taste
Recent events have brought another device closer to Android’s KitKat 4.4 taste. We are talking about none other than Butterfly S which has just received update from HTC, so an entire list of goodies is expecting its owners. In case you don’t remember, here we have the successor to the original HTC Butterfly (generally known as the Verizon Droid DNA) and it was launched with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Not so long ago (in January) the smartphone has received the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update with Sense UI 5.5, but at that time the company was already working for offering us the most recent KitKat 4.4 firmware. And that’s the result of their hard work!
The latest Android Software
You should know from the start that the new Android KitKat 4.4 firmware is quite heavy at 740 MB, so be sure that you have all the necessary space in your HTC Butterfly S for such a massive addition.
As you are probably expecting, with this update on Butterfly S, you will get the latest Android software with the usual KitKat goodies, but also security enhancements, changes in status bar icons, Cloud Print Service, and even new Bluetooth profiles, but there is something that you might not love that much about it.
The Android KitKat update removes Adobe Flash support from the stock browser, but that’s something that you are supposed to accept from the start if you plan to enjoy the other changes as well.
Manually search the Update
For the interested ones that have not received the Android’s KitKat (the new firmware being available over the air), there is another option to take in consideration. You can manually search the update by hitting the Settings area. Let us now in case you have found it there or you have any other questions about this new update!
