Learn to Restore Data in Titanium Backup

Your data is important, especially if you use your phone for business. With everything we tend to have on our phones, it’s worthwhile to know where and how everything is being saved, don’t you think? Backups aren’t meant to be that complicated. You just need to find the right way to do it to get that and Titanium Backup is often the answer you’ve been looking for.

Thanks to this app, you can freeze and uninstall bloatware, backup applications (along with app data), backup to cloud storage, and plenty more. The Pro version comes with even more features. This includes 1-click batch restore, syncing to cloud storage, and a whole lot more. And it doesn’t matter if your phone is corrupted or flashed with a custom ROM, Titanium Backup can save the hassle to get your phone loaded up just like it was before.

Things go on so smoothly. Once completed, your precious backup will be labeled with the date it was performed and saved. You can also create an update.zip file to be flashed through recovery if you like, or you can restore through Titanium itself.

How to do that? Let me show you the way:

  1. First of all, you have to open the app;
  2. Go to the Batch Actions screen;
  3. You must now scroll down;
  4. You’ll see options under the Restore setting for the actions you completed earlier: in this case, Restore all apps with data and Restore all system data. Tap Run next to the actions you want to restore;
  5. You’ll then have the option to restore everything you backed up or just some sections of it. The choice is all yours;
  6. Take your time to make your choices and tap the green check mark in the top right-hand corner.

Just note that Titanium Backup is an essential tool for root users only. So, if you were just curious to see how things could work, remember that rooting isn’t optional with this app. Do not say that you have not been warned.
