Sony Xperia Z Ultra Gets Updated to Android KitKat

The Android 4.4 update for the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is now rolling out, starting with owners in Hong Kong. The information has been first confirmed by several users on the XDA Developers forum, as well as by the company, so we can tell you for sure that the new firmware is available only over the air for now, but we expect Sony to launch it soon via its PC Companion  too. We also hope that several other markets will be also joining Hong Kong soon when it comes to enjoying this new Android KitKat update having a size of 736MB and changing the software version to 3.06.708.3, but until then let’s see more from what wehave for the moment.

As this is an OTA update, it might take a while to Sony Xperia Z Ultra users, so we have only one advice for you: maintain your patience if you haven’t received the KitKat update notification yet, or try hitting the Settings on the handset and check for the update manually.
