Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 Revealed in India
Are you looking for a new tablet? Well, the smallest member of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 tablet, none other than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has been revealed in India as well and that’s you chance to buy it for an accessible price of no more than $199. We cannot deny the fact that there are plenty of other better options out there, but Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 still remains an inspired purchase as long as it offers us a decent performance at such an amazing price.
What can Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 offer us
Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 comes with a 7-inch display with a maximum 1280×800 resolution and we want to tell you from the start that although those 216 ppi might not sound at all impressive, the display is still quite decent. Small text is readable, we have the chance to enjoy saturated color and there is no visible pixelation.
Power-wise, this Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 model houses a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM, and we know that this sounds good enough in theory. However, current owners have complained that it becomes unresponsive at times. But at least we have 8GB of internal storage and a microSD slot that can easily solve the internal memory problems, also running on Android 4.4 KitKat version with the usual Samsung features and customization on top of it. And the pleasant user interface is one of its major advantages as well.
Believe it or not, the included 3MP fixed-focus main camera is much better than expected too. You’ll enjoy the sharp details of your photos, not to mention that even the indoor images look more than decent. As for its 1.3MP front-facing camera, it is ideal for video chatting, not to mention that you can even record 720p videos in .mp4 format.
Moreover, don’t forget that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 4,000 mAh battery is good for up to 8 hours of normal usage per usage, so it gives the tablet enough juice to get you through the day.
Design and Dimensions
Despite of the fact that Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is made of plastic, we can assure you that it looks and feels surprisingly sturdy. We are talking about a unibody design with a metal binding around the edges that holds the construction together and a rugged texture on the back for a better grip, so this is a very well-built tablet. The only aspect that could have been improved is the slightly wobbly Home button, but it is up to you to decide if this is such a big problem.
As for its dimensions, this model here measures 7.36 x 4.25 x 0.35 inches at a weight of 9.74 oz, being slightly smaller than its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 model.
