Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Dual SIM Samsung Galaxy Grand 2
Have you heard that the dual SIM variant of Samsung’s second-generation Galaxy Grand is prepared for Android 4.4.2 KitKat? There have been no more than six months since its launch, but we don’t think that it is at all too early to be taking about such an update. Quite the contrary, we like that the company has planned that, just as we have previously seen a leaked document with Samsung’s Android 4.4.2 KitKat update schedule for no less than smartphones.
KitKat features for Samsung Galaxy Grand 2
This Dual SIM Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 version was one of them and according to the schedule, the update has debuted in India. We are not at all surprised that this is the first country ready for the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update as long as this Samsung Galaxy Grand lineup has been a huge success there.
So, the update carries build number G7102XXUBNG4 and although we don’t actually have an official changelog just yet, we can only imagine that it offers all those KitKat features that we have talked about more than once: improved performance, closed captions support, white status bar icons, wireless printing support, option to select the default home and messaging apps, expanded emojis, updates for various Samsung apps and not only.
The update will be arriving in other regions as well
The update is only available over the air at the moment, so those from India can consider themselves lucky!
As for those not living there, but owing this Dual SIM Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 handset, we can only tell you that the update will be arriving in other region in the next few weeks, if not even days, so have patience!
And although there were no indications if single-SIM editions will get the Android 4.4.2 firmware a few days ago, this time we are talking about both the single and dual SIM versions, as the company claims!
