Android 4.3 OTA Update for AT&T Galaxy S4 Delayed
For AT&T users and owners of Samsung Galaxy S4, the waiting for the Android 4.3 update should not take too much before it becomes available once again. So far, users complained about the fact that AT&T has stopped the Android 4.3 update mainstream and both parties involved are working on solving the issue affecting the firmware. Apparently, both companies are investigating the problems the built is encountering, problems that prevent AT&T users to start updating their devices. It is worth mentioning the fact that this is an isolated matter, and not all users experience it.
In the case of those who managed to grab the latest update and install it on their devices, AT&T did not offer any details of what might happen to upgraded devices. However, so far, Galaxy S4 users suggested that they have encountered problems with the Wi-Fi or cellular data connection. In the same time, users also experienced other random bugs and issues.
As it was mentioned above, users encountered problems such as appalling battery life, voice recognition broken, Wi-Fi guest network login problems, overall Wi-Fi instability problems, constant reconnecting, text messages contact issues, lower performance or music player self launching. There are only some of the problems users have experienced with their Samsung Galaxy S4 devices, which have been updated to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Not all these problems affect every S4 device, but many of them are common among users (battery problems, text contact issues, lower performance). In the same time, AT&T was not the only carrier affected by the Samsung-Android update problem. Verizon or Sprint subscribers also confessed that they have similar problems to their brand new devices.
It is worth mentioning the fact that this is not the first time when Samsung has withdrawn an Android 4.3 update. Earlier this month, another similar incident occurred in the case of the Android 4.3 update for the Korean and UK versions of the Galaxy S3.
Until now, the big American mobile carrier has not made any mention of when the Jelly Bean update will become available for download. However, aside from the Galaxy S4 problem, AT&T also interrupted the update to Android 4.3 in the case of Samsung Galaxy S3, the 2012 flagship, mostly for the South Korean and UK versions, also called “early adopters”.
It has been two weeks of problems and yet no answer. If you own a Galaxy S4, it is recommended not to install the update until an official patch has been offered for the public use. The patch is being due sometime this month, or even later. In the case of affected owners, stay toon for other reports and updates.
