Samsung’s Galaxy S5 First Clone: GooPhone S5
What we have here might look like Samsung Galaxy S5 at a quick glance, but don’t be fooled. It’s actually Samsung’s Galaxy S5 first clone known as GooPhone S5 and although the design resembling between these two devices is an obvious one, you cannot be seriously thinking that we can say the same thing about their specs and features. Although there are no details regarding its availability, Goophone says that it is “almost here” and we already know that is going to be priced at $300, so let’s see what the company has manages to create in two days. Yes, the company has apparently managed to make a clone of Samsung’s Galaxy S5 in such a short time, so we are a bit curious about its capabilities:
What GooPhone S5 Has…
When it comes to its power, GooPhone S5 packs only a 2GHz MediaTek 6592 octa-core CPU. Paired with 2GB RAM, as well as a 5-inch 1080p display, but let’s face the facts. Although it is indeed a 5-inch 1080p display, it is very unlikely to have the same brightness of any other AMOLED panel.

This GooPhonedevice is also said to come with both a 13MP camera with LED flash and a secondary 5MP front-facing one, but once again we have our doubts. A 13MP camera looks great on paper, but what about reality? It all depends on its image editing tools and real capabilities, or it could simply be much worse than a 5 MP one megapixel cameras. And don’t leave aside that it will be available in white, black, blue or gold color options, also packing a decent 2,800mAh battery.
At least GooPhone S5 will have Android 4.2 is on board and although isn’t KitKat, what could you be expecting from a clone?
And what Not…
There are though certain aspects that would be impossible to be found on Samsung’s Galaxy S5 clone. GooPhone S5 won’t come with any fingerprint reader or heart rate monitor and we are sure that it isn’t the case to be talking about a waterproof construction either. Moreover, instead of the usual LTE connectivity, you will only have access to the world’s HSPA data stream.
