LG L70 Available for Pre-order; Priced at €179
Last month, we have seen LG announcing three new mid-range devices as a part of the company’s L Series III lineup. But we had no other news until now, when we can tell you that LG L70, the successor of the original LG Optimus L7 is available for pre-order. To be more precise, the smartphone is available in Germany for €179, while Taiwanese ePrice has listed it for no more than $163 and Clove UK is giving you the possibility to pre-order it for £165. So, despite of the fact that there was no official pricing and availability mentioned by LG, all these retailers have taken action and we like the idea. And don’t leave aside that LG L70 is a surprisingly capable entry-level smartphone that might surprise you:
Specs and KitKat OS
The LG L70 can easily be pocketed and hold comfortably in one hand, as long as it measures no more than 127.2 x 66.8 x 9.5mm with a total weight of 133g. So, when it comes to its 4.5-inch IPS display, the L70 is an ideal choice for those who don’t want a larger smartphone, not to mention that the power comes from a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage which could be enough for those who don’t need that space to store their games, music and other files.
LG L70 also has a 3 megapixel camera, so it isn’t the ideal time to be talking about amazing photos, but we hope to find out that they are at least decent. As for that 2,100mAh removable battery, LG presents it as being able to get you through the day.
Moreover, our LG L70 handset here comes with the latest version of Android OS (KitKat 4.4) installed, along with the new KnockOn software, which is able to bring tap-to-unlock from the lock screen.
So, although we have no official release date, the official render’s homescreen suggests that this could happen on April 1.
