As we all know CyanogenMod finally released the OTA updates of CM12S, the new Android 5.0.2 Lollipop built. The firmware was first rolled out for the OnePlus One device so now it’s time to see the same software embracing another smartphone: Micromax Yu Yureka.

Yes, that’s right; CM 12S is officially available for your Yu Yureka. I am talking about a proper OTA release which can anytime now embrace your device. So, in a few words, you can finally test the latest Android OS, Lollipop 5.0.2 on your own phone without using a custom CyanogenMod ROM.

The firmware is rolled out as we speak but the OTA will be rolled out in phases so not all the Micromax Yu Yureka will receive the Lollipop notification at the same time. Thus, if the notification isn’t yet displayed on your smartphone, don’t panic and just stay calm and be patience. However, you can choose to manually check for a new OS improvement by heading towards “menu -> settings -> about phone -> software updates”.

If the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop CM 12S update is being available, before resuming the flashing process ensure that a WiFi connection is being enabled. Also, make sure that your phone has enough battery life left – you should charge your Yu Yureka if the power left is currently lower than 60% – if your phone gets turned off while you flash CM12S, it can get soft bricked.

If you just can’t wait or if you can’t receive the OTA platform, then use this dedicated step by step guide and learn how to manually update your Micromax Yu Yureka to official Android 5.0.2 Lollipop CM 12S firmware.
