LG Optimus G2: The 5.2″ Android Smartphone To Be Unveiled In NY On August 7
LG has an upcoming media event in New York, on August 7 and we have confirmation that the star of the event will be none other than the LG Optimus G2. As it was rumored so far, the device will apparently pack a 5.2-inch display. Official photos and specs of the upcoming device haven’t been revealed yet, but there are many rumors and leaks which might coincide with the reality. We don’t find that okay, considering that there’s so little time left until the official announcement of the LG G2. Hopefully, the handset will feature all the best from the rumored specs.
So, talking about the specs, we must mention the fact that the G2 might be half as thin as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Rumors say something about a 2,540 mAh battery, which will be a disappointment for big=battery fans. We might be facing 2 or 3GB of RAM, while the Snapdragon 800 processor was already confirmed by Engadget. Also, we could get a 13MP camera. According to our source, the Wall Street Journal was not able to confirm if the display will be the 2.2mm thin 5.2-inch display unveiled by LG Display not too long ago, although that would make sense.
LG started a campaign called “To Me, You Are Perfect”, during which they expect LG users to send photos and videos to their loved ones, using LG channels. The campaign started July 15th and will end August 6th, and the prizes will be 40 LG G Series smartphones, 500 LG Pocket Photo printers and the big prize, $5,000. The LG G2 might be included in those prizes, so if you’d like to participate, just follow one of the next channels:
Selected clips will be shown in Times Square (New York) and Piccadilly Circus (London). So, good luck!
