Verizon’s HTC One Release Date Postponed
Verizon’s HTC One hasn’t been launched on August 1st, as planned, the release being delayed for the end of the month. More precisely, on August 29, according to rumors. Verizon only stated that the smartphone will be available this summer, without giving any additional information. The HTC One is priced at $199.99 for the 32GB model with other carriers, but there is no word on the price tag from Verizon. The end of July bought in our attention the rumor that the device might be launched on August 15, so we can’t tell for sure what the exact release date will be. It might as well be the middle of September.
The latest rumored release date came from a leaked road map, which also includes the Motorola DROID Ultra and DROID Maxx, which are said to launch on August 20 for Verizon. The DROID Mini is also mentioned, with a release date for August 29 as well. The Motorola Moto X will probably be available starting August 23, according to our source. There is no word yet on the Blue HTC One, which was said to come for Verizon only. The HTC One will be replacing the HTC DROID DNA, which has already been pulled from Verizon’s web site.
The HTC One comes with a Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels, 4.7 inches and Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The device weights 143 g and supports LTE. It features Beats Audio sound enhancement, for you to listen to your favorite music at high quality. It has 32/64 GB of internal memory, 2 GB of RAM but no MicroSD card slot. Not much of a photographing device, holding only a 4MP primary camera and a 2.1 MP front-facing one. The HTC One has a non-removable 2300 mAh battery, so you’ll have to carry your charger with you. All in one, the device is ok and we have no reason to tell you otherwise.
