How to Solve Galaxy S8+ Reddish Tint Problem
If you’re sitting there thinking your Samsung Galaxy S8+ screen is just too red, I know what you mean. Mine is too and I hate that such a thing can literally destroy many of the features that I really love about this smartphone.
Some may recommend simply returning your phone for a replacement. Anyone with the smartphone is doing great within their two-week return period and you can practically do it, yet I have another advice: you should not do that if you aren’t first trying to find a solution for this issue.
How to Solve Galaxy S8+ Reddish Tint Problem:
- For the start, enter into Settings;
- Scroll down to and select Display;
- Then, select Screen Mode;
- now, select Colour balance;
- Make the changes that you want with the R, G, B sliders to see whether you can remove the red tint or not.
To tell you the truth, there is no guarantee that things will get any better, but it never hurts to give it a try. And you are not alone into this. Samsung has now acknowledged there is an issue and it’s not letting things this way. In fact with so many complains, I don’t think that the company has any other choice. However, if you dream of a company that replaces all affected units, it’s not the case, at least not now.
Initially, Samsung said that it wasn’t a problem and told its users to contact the company’s support team. However, now it has confirmed that a software update will solve the red tint issue on these Galaxy S8+ handsets and this is exactly what happens now. The company is issuing this new software with a fix red-tinted display screens and this comes just days after Samsung launched its flagship phone in the U.S. and South Korea.
Meanwhile, the company itself instructed affected users to fix the issue themselves by going into the display section of the Settings app, but you already know that this procedure didn’t eliminate the problem for everyone affected.
Let us know in the comments if the procedure above has fixed your red-screen issue or not.
