Virgin Mobile Galaxy Ring Specs and Price Announced: Mid-range on Affordable Price
The Ring was announced by Samsung a few days ago and it will only be available on Virgin Mobile. It is a mid-range smartphone, it will be offered without a contract through the Virgin Mobile retail and it is perfect for those who have a low budget. The Samsung Galaxy Ring is actually a pretty good phone, considering the 179.99$ price tag. We could say the device is a more affordable version of the Galaxy S3, without any impressive specs, as you’ll immediately see for yourselves. The Samsung Galaxy Ring comes with an USB data cable charger, handset, recycling envelope, printed materials and a 1750mAh Battery.
The handset features Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and its specs will include a 1.4 GHz single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor. The 4.0 inch display has an unknown resolution (it hasn’t been announced anywhere, yet). The Galaxy Ring has two cameras – a 5MP, 720p video capable rear one and a 1.3 MP front one, perfect for video chatting and portraits. The device will only support 3G and not 4G, according to our source, so it is possible that this might make some of you change their minds about buying the smartphone.
Among other apps, we’d like to specify Google Maps, which will help you find out about the traffic, directions and more, the Swype Text Input, meaning you won’t have to lift your finger while writing something on your screen, Virgin Mobile Feed – for 24/7 music streaming and the Virgin Mobile ID Packs with pre-packaged apps, wallpapers and other things for customizing your phone.
So, that’s a wrap. Do you think it’s going to be a success or not? Would you buy the Samsung Galaxy Ring?
