Moto X: A Smartphone Created by You, by Us
Motorola brings a new concept in attention and tells us to be whoever we want to be, but more then that, they unveil a new logo in all US big newspapers starting with 3rd July. The New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post will host the Moto X ad and we are wondering in this case, what exactly wants to do Motorola? After such a statement “designed by you“ can we think about a big amount of freedom, and start to outline the way we want to be the new Moto X and after that they will give birth to it?
Our source talks about a good choice made by Motorola, there is a great match between the ad and the day chosen – Independence day. They support and encourage the power of creation and incite the readers to start thinking free and let their imagination come true with the infrastructure of a big company on disposal. We have no details about specs of new Moto X and there can be felt such an mystery floating over all of it. No when will be released – just soon, no how it will look like, no where we will find it, no price…
In my opinion, this concept looks a bit too friendly and makes me think about what is in their mind in fact? They are trying to find new ideas among the users, customers or creative young people to inspire them having a new look for a new smartphone they have no idea what design to adopt for? Or can be a big opened research using freedom as interface and make us believe we are so important for the company? We have to wait and see how far they will go with the customization.
