IFA 2014: The New Moto X – Specs and Price revealed
Here we are finally talking about the specs and price details of the new Moto X. As you can see by yourself, the handset is not called Moto X+1 as it has been rumored up to now, but rather just the new Moto X. Despite of that, many of the things that have been speculated in the past few weeks are indeed correct, so don’t hesitate to take a closer look to this device officially revealed at IFA 2014.
AMOLED display, Snapdragon Processor and Moto Voice
The new Moto X comes with a 5.2-inch AMOLED display running at 1080p, while the power comes from a Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. Its 13-megapixel camera is supposedly equipped with various image editing tools for those who love capturing all special moments of their life, while the 2300mAh battery is a decent choice as well.
We also want to tell you that Touchless Controls are back, but now they are called Moto Voice, and bring new customization options. You don’t have to use the usual “OK Google Now” command in order to bring up the voice actions, but you can choose to customize the trigger phrase to anything you want, not to mention that we even have new commands to post a status to Facebook or to send a WhatsApp message.
The device measures 72.4 x 140.8mm, while the width ranges from 3.8 mm at the edge to no more than 9.9mm in the middle, while the weight of this new Moto X is of 144g. As for the back logo, is not actually a button, although it does look like one and the idea would have been indeed very interesting.
