Samsung having two new tablets on the way?
Samsung just announced last month a few new devices that will hit the market soon. Now, rumors say that the company will release two Android tablets, said to have the highest resolution in the market to date. The news comes from Evleaks and doesn’t include any photos of the prototypes, nor the release date, just some specs. However, Samsung has an upcoming event in Berlin next month, when they might announce the two devices and, perhaps, a few others. Until then, let’s imagine what the two tablets might look like and have a look at the rumored specs.
The first model, named SM-P900 on Evleaks, is rumored to be running on Samsung’s new Exynos 5 Octa chip and boasting a resolution of 2560×1600 on a 12.2-inch display. It also comes with the Wacom-powered S Pen stylus, which means it might be a part of the Galaxy Note family. If this is to be true, the P900 will be Samsung’s largest Android device, removing the recently announced ATIV Q from the equation (an Intel-based tablet/laptop hybrid that runs both Windows 8 and Android side-by-side). We’re quite curious on what it’s going to be like and what the whole dimensions will be.
The second device, the SM-P600, will also have a similar 2560×1600 resolution but on a smaller 10-inch display.
According to our source, the P600 is rumored to be running on a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, with clock speeds up to 2.3 GHz. This model has no S-Pen stylus included. The size of the tablet suggests that it could be a successor to the Nexus 10. So here you go. Some features to think about and put together in order to at least imagine the design and capabilities of two mysterious tablets. We will definitely keep you posted with news regarding this rumor, as we are ourselves looking forward to hearing more.
