Sony Xperia E1 Has Just Been Unveiled (Technical Specs and Photos)
Sony has just unveiled its latest Xperia E1, a new Android smartphone that seems to be able to offer us the best level of performance in its class. We won’t hide that we are referring about the mid-range class, but you shouldn’t imagine that it doesn’t have plenty of interesting technical specs to offer to its buyers. We want to mention from the start its amazing 100dB speaker and 30 days of free access to your favorite songs through the Sony Entertainment Network2, but be sure that much more specs are waiting to be discovered:
We are referring to the fact that Sony Xperia E1 comes with a vivid 4” touchscreen which has a decent resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, but there is nothing to be worried about the quality of your visual experience. To be more specific, whether watching movies, videos or doing any other activity, the display looks surprisingly clear and vibrant.
When it comes to its power, here we also have a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8210 which comes though only with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. But we must admit that we are a little worried about the lack of information regarding which Android version will be running on this handset. We are all dreaming of Android 4.4., but if we take in consideration that it is just a mid-range smartphone, there are a few chances to feature the Jelly Bean version instead.
And another disappointment regarind its specs is that we’d have expected something much more than a 3 megapixels main camera. Although it comes with a variety of image editing tools such as Digital image stabilization and Digital zoom, as well as Smile detection, Geo tagging, Panorama, or White balance presets, the lack of Autofocus and LED Flash cannot be left aside. As for those thinking of using a secondary front-facing camera, we have once again bad news: Sony Xperia E1 doesn’t have one at all.
But are you willing to forget about all these week aspects thanks to its 100Db speaker? We can assure you that it is able to produce a loud and crystal clear sound, even in the noisiest environments, not to mention its ClearAudio+ mode can optimize the balance of frequencies and improve your overall listening experience.
So, despite of the lack of any details regarding its availability and pricing, we also know that Sony Xperia E1 will come in three color options (white, black, as well as purple), as our source also stated and as you can see in these photos. And the possibility of having a dual SIM version has been recently speculated, so be sure that we’ll keep you updated.
