MWC 2014: Huawei MediaPad M1 Android tablet Officially Revealed
One of the world`s leaders in telecommunication, the Huawei mobile manufacturer, has just revealed its flagship tablets at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, with the MediaPad M1 tablet to be included as well. We are talking about an 8-inch Android display with a SIM card slot allowing 4G LTE data connectivity and the possibility of sending SMS texts just like a regular phone.
The M1 features an 8-inch display with 1,280×920-pixels, the minimum requirements that can be seen on a tablet like this one featured here.
If we take a closer look at the tablet, we can`t be noticing the device`s plain metallic design along with the white stripes at the top and bottom of the back, resembling the iPhone 5. The front of the tablet features speakers both above and also below, with aesthetic design reminding us of the great HTC One.
Specs wise, more than that, as our source states, the tablet is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, enough for handling web-browsing and social media online networking.
On the other hand, the device runs on the old version Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with its Emotion UI feature ditching the app menu, but placing all the app icons across different multiple homescreens which can be sometimes difficult to use.
The tablet-smartphone only features a 5MP rear camera, and just 1 poor megapixel camera at the front, which you can use for so called video calling or conferences. Other than that, we are also talking about a heavy 4,800mAh battery which can be used for 24 hours of web browsing.
As for the prices involved, there is no official announcement about the costs of this considerably high-end tablet with mid-range specifications. But we will keep you posted on further news regarding price tags and when and where the tablet will be released first!
