I am excited to let you know that Minority Media, the developers of the ambitious adventure game Papo & Yo, continued their work with a new have VR title on Android. And you are making no mistake in case of thinking of the best since this is exactly what you are getting from The Other Room.

Well, The Other Room is a VR escape room that might surprise you. Just as it happens in such “escape the room” type titles, you have to examine and manipulate objects to help them solve problems. It boasts procedurally generated puzzles and an antagonist who speaks to you and psychologically evaluates you — moat probably based on your success in completing the game’s challenges.

So, the game practically pits your wits against a twisted genius that it’s so difficult to understand. You must use the intuitive Daydream controller to move within each room and recognize your surroundings. And even if you might think that this should not be that hard, let me remind you that time isn’t always your friend. Well, those timed levels will make you feel the pressure of the game and not everyone succeeds. You should better escape the room before time runs out, or face the consequences of your actions.

If you are ready for a true VR video story line, let me assure you of the fact that this is exactly what you are getting with this Android game! Every single new puzzle will practically bring you one step closer to uncovering your antagonist’s identity and master plan, there are multiple rooms and levels, not to mention the surprising combination of ambisonic and binaural audio for a truly immersive experience.

What more could you expect from such a game? The Other Room is available as I am speaking on Google Play Store via this direct download link.
