Gionee Elife S5.1 Measures Just 5.1 mm in Thickness

Here we are to tell you more about the most recent Android handset from Gionee known as Elife S5.1. Its predecessor, the Elife S5.5 has manages to impress us all thanks to its thickness of no more than 0.22 inches (5.5mm), but this time it seems that Gionee is offering us even more. Its new handset is 0.2-inches thin (5.15mm), so what else is left to be said? It is obviously that we all want to become the owners of such a smartphone, but this doesn’t have to mean that we are not also curious about the other specs and features that Gionee Elife S5.1 has to offer.

Is Gionee Elife S5.1 what you are really looking for?

When it comes to its AMOLED display, we can tell you from the start that it has been changed from 5.0 inches to 4.8 inches by diagonal, and the resolution reduced from 1080p to no more than 720p. Is a pixel density of 306ppi what you are really looking for? It is only up to you to decide such a thing.

The power of this new Gionee Elife handset is offered by Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 400 (clocked to 1.2GHz) that comes paired with 1GB of RAM, while the storage capacity is of no more than 16GB with no microSD expansion options that we know about at this point. Moreover, Gionee Elife S5.1 comes with an 8MP main camera, while the front cam has 5MP sensor, so things look promising at this chapter.

And don’t forget that we are expecting a device running on Android 4.3 with Gionee’s own Amigo 2.0 interface laid on top.

If you want to know more about this device’s dimensions, we can tell you for sure that it measures no less than 5.5 inches x 2.65 inches x 0.2 inches (139.8mm×67.4mm×5.15mm). The phone’s sides carry the maximum thinness, while the upper and lower sides are just a little wider, otherwise the micro-USB port and headphone jack could not have been placed there.

And we must admit that Gionee Elife S5.1 looks even more stylish than its predecessor. Maybe this has to do with the fact that it is so thick or maybe its rounded edges and classic line are making us see it this way. In one case or another, we like it and we are that we are not the only ones thinking so!
