What to do if Gyro Stopped Working on your OnePlus 5

For those that have the OnePlus 5 handset, this guide is perfect since I know how disturbing it is to have that gyro that sometimes doesn’t work.

There are various potential reasons why this is happening; there are times when the screen doesn’t turn when you are surfing the Internet or using apps while it is activated and it doesn’t change from the vertical mode, just as in certain situations it’s been confirmed that the issue occurs when you have screen rotation lock turned on.

A related issue with the One Plus 5 is that users complain about the main camera settings which shows everything inverted or upside down. First of all, you have to carry out a self-test to known what is wrong with the OnePlus phone. In such conditions, you must enter the code {*#0*#} on your device’s dial pad. After you get into service mode screen, just hit on the “sensors” and complete self-test;
If you have a mobile carrier that has blocked this feature, then don’t you imagine that things stopped here for you, but quite the opposite, you’ll need to complete a factory reset of OnePlus 5. So, find your way into the Notification center on your phone and tap on the gear icon. This will bring up the settings page and then tap on Backup, this can be seen under Backup and reset. At the end, just tap on Factory data reset and then you’ll see an option to select Delete all. Once you tap on that button, just wait for the phone to reboot and I can only hope that this finally solved the issue;

If nothing works, then you always know what I say – a hard reset fixes everything and that’s your case too. It’s essential to keep in mind that completing a hard reset will delete and remove all files from your phone. Therefore, you have to take a backup of your phone first before doing this. You can back up the OnePlus 5 by opening Settings > Backup & reset and follow the given steps. It isn’t at all hard and the result is guaranteed.
