Assassin’s Creed Pirates now Available in Google Play Store
These days, there is no clear line between console gaming and mobile gaming. In this respect, Ubisoft has proudly announced that the well-awaited Assassin’s Creed series comes to the Android platform. Assassin’s Creed Pirates is focusing on the sailing and pirate-themed activities, as they were described in the latest installment of the game, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. However, there are various differences between this latest version and its predecessors.
In the current Pirates version of Assassin’s Creed, the new character named Alonso Batilla is not an assassin as his compatriots in the console series, but rather a sailor. However, the player’s task is to turn Alonso from a mere sailor on a ship into a dread pirate and lord of the seas. Many other characters will appear along the game, but the player will focus only on Alonso.
Related to the game interface, it makes liberal use of the Android’s touchscreen controls, allowing the player to swipe the screen to steer the ship and many other commands. When you are not under direct fire, you are able to customize the ship as you please, and even its crew with almost unlimited options.
Assassin’s Creed Pirates is a major step into making Android a suitable platform for high-end games. As the title suggests, the game is build around a new 3D graphics engine and features that are quite close to the reality. While the player will experience real water effects and attacks, Android is growing into becoming a credible platform for video games.
However, due to the fact that the game offers 3D effects, and it requires heavy graphical features, perhaps is that you will need an updated, and powerful device to play Assassin’s Creed Pirates. In terms of gameplay, this game is nothing like the other games. Instead of fighting with a single unit in one to one combat, you will get huge naval battles. In the same time, the game will also require some strategic and tactical thinking in order to succeed.
Assassin’s Creed Pirates features over 50 story missions and side quests, therefore, you will not regret spending your money on such game. Related to the price tag, Assassin’s Creed Pirates is available on the Android app Platform starting with December 5 and it is priced at $4.99.
