Really Bad Chess puts a Funny twist on the Classic Chess Game.
Chess can be intimidating, but this new take on the classic game goes easy on our mistakes. I am talking about a new hame known as Really Bad Chess which offered by Noodlecake Studios Inc. At a first look, you might say that the game seems to be a normal chess game, but you should think twice before saying that. After all, the app is straight up called “Really Bad Chess”.
Here you have the classic chess board with the pieces that you know and the same moves, but, the developer has put a funny twist on the classic chess game. There are totally random pieces. Try 7 Knights, 3 Bishops, and 5 pawns – how weird would the game could be in such conditions? Well, that’s what Really Bad Chess does. Whether you play such a game every day, or quit just after learning the rules, this small twist will change the way you see chess.
As for chess pros, Really Bad Chess comes as a new type of challenge — all the pieces and the moves might be the same ones that you are used to, but the normal patterns of play are gone for good.
There should though be a much easier way to win. When you capture all of the opposing teams’ pieces and you are only left with queen versus queen, you cannot win the other queen, no matter how hard you might try. Or maybe I have not figured that out just yet!
The free version of Really Bad Chess lets you compete vs. an AI in Ranked, Daily, or Weekly Challenges, but a single in-app purchase unlocks Versus Mode so you can compete against your friends locally! It also removes ads, it displays captured pieces and adds soothing alternate color-palettes to choose from, but the choice is yours to make.
This could essentially be a puzzle experience for anyone remotely interested in strategy games and loving chess, so why not trying it out? Just take it from this Google Play link and have some fun!
