Updated Google Play Games Lets You Send Games Gifts and Much More
Google Play Games comes with some important updates like the choice for a new set of games, gift games, new features and much, much more. Google Play had the chance to announce these important updates with the occasion of the Game Developers` Conference 2014, an annual event held since 1988. One of the Google Play`s new feature is the ability of sending “games gifts” to friends or other players.
The game gifts is actually an “in-game gifts” that can be sent for action games like RPGs or other type-like games, with the choice of adding support for a particular feature.
The updated Google Play Games also adds fresh-new 18 game-categories to the Play Store with some slight changes for a multiplayer choice. Thus, you can invite your friends to play multiplayer levels as well.
More than that, Google made an announcement that it will add a multiplayer support for iOS as well, with a cross-platform ability, being able to join friends that are playing a multiplayer game from both Android and Apple devices at the same time.
Another important aspect is that Google will also introduce some changes concerning “improved statistics and ad analytics”, along with a Play Games C++ SDK to back up leaderboards.
And if you were wondering about when these changes will come, Google has made an official statement on their blog, stating that all the features, game gifts and other useful tools will be available in the following weeks, but perhaps there will be more than a month to literally see them to the Google Play Games.
What do you really expect Google Play Games to bring along? Are they rock features that Google usually brings forward? Cheers and don’t forget to write!
