I know that many of you are eager to discover the retro classic all over again! There are hundreds of new games appearing the Play Store each and every week, and some of them might be worthy of a few minutes of your time. However, they might not always be what you have in mind and I am talking about those of you who might be looking for a classic game that you enjoyed ages ago in the arcades or on a console or handheld.

Retro games may be small in terms of file size, but they are fantastic! If you want to bring the old school shooter game action back, you can do it with R-Type.

The game is the challenging R-Type you used to play before and it has many of the original features that you loved. You can fly through 8 levels with 3 different control options. Play in two difficulty levels. Upgrade with new weapons, power-ups, and attachments. Defeat 8 unique bosses and waves of various enemies. Blast off and strike the evil Bydo Empire! Don’t be shy and use your best shot to take them down!

It’s retro, and it’s also hard to master, so be prepared to spend a few hours if not even more! Ye, it is addictive too, just like it was years ago!

This can be a fun throwback game for anyone who misses those old times, so grab R-Type from Google Play with the help of this Google Play link and let me know if you like it or not. At the same time, you can find plenty of other interesting game options such as:

  • Help your Froggy across the road with Frogger with the help of this classic game available on Android;
  • Learn countries, capitals and flags of the world with the amazing World Citizen;
  • Asphalt 8: Airborne is perfect for your Adrenaline Journey, just as you can try out Modern Combat 5 if you are a hardcore gamer;
  • Have fun with your Group and BombSquad, a great game that supports up to no less than 8 players and gives you everything what you might have in mind such as ninjas, pirates, barbarians, chefs, and more;
  • Smash Hit requires Both Concentration and Timing, but if you have these two, you should give it a try!
