How to Disable Direct Share on your LG Device

I think that Direct Share is one of those features that Google really should have changed up to now, yet this hasn’t happened whatsoever. Unfortunately, Direct Share can still be really annoying and in many cases, unhelpful too, but the good news is that LG comes with an easy software switch in the device settings to turn off Direct Share, so that’s pretty much your chance.

The idea is that Direct Share shows up whenever you open the share menu and places shortcuts to your contacts in other applications at the top. I’m sure many would agree that they don’t usually end up selecting one of their contacts directly in the share menu, and there’s also the fact that it causes the share menu to jump, eventually leading to frustration. You are no stranger to that, right?

If you’d rather not see these contacts being suggested at all, you can disable the option on your LG handset. No complicated procedures are required and rooting your phone is not a must. Here’s what you can do instead:

That’s pretty much all you really have to do this time! Quite a simple procedure, don’t you think? Yes, simple it is indeed, but also very effective. Direct Share is just a part of the past now, as you’ve wanted it to be for so long.
