It is true that Sony already scheduled an event at the Mobile World Congress on 24 February, but it remains to be seen whether this device will be indeed reveled there, so until then, let’s have a closer look to these specs and photos:

Rumored Specs

From what we know at this point, this Sony Tablet Z2 is reportedly packing a Snapdragon 800 ARM chip paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, of course with a microSD slot included.

So, we cannot deny that its processor and the RAM are both improved from the previous 2013 version, but otherwise the two versions seem to share similar specs. We are talking about an unchanged 6,000mAh battery, as well as a 10.1-inch Triluminos display with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and both an 8MP camera and a secondary 2MP one as well. As for the OS, this handset will likely launch with Android 4.4.

Moreover, there are big chances for Sony Xperia Z2 to be not only waterproof, but also slightly thinner. To be more precise, this upcoming model will be 6.4mm, while the original Xperia Tablet was 6.9mm thick.

When it comes to the leaked photos that we have here, they have been first reveled by @gadgetleaks, but the fact that @evleaks has offered the same images it makes us question their credibility less than before. We know that @evleaks has earned its reputation, but we are still waiting for an official confirmation regarding this Sony Xperia Z2.
