LAVA Launches New Iris Pro 20 Smartphone

LAVA has just launched its new Iris Pro 20 smartphone and from what it has been revealed, he handset is set to launch soon for no more than INR13,999 ($250). Taking advantage of this opportunity, Hari Om Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of Lava International Ltd has officially declared: “With the tremendous response that we received after the launch of Iris Pro 30, we are now launching another product in this series to address similar needs at a different price point.(…) We believe that the product will deliver an unmatched experience to consumers who want a combination of exquisite beauty and unmatched functionality.” So, here we have all the details that you need to know:

Is Iris Pro 20 Smartphone what you are looking for?

The Lava Iris Pro 20 comes as a modest dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone that supports one regular SIM size and a Micro-SIM too, also having decent specs and features. To be more precise, the device comes with a 5-inch qHD IPS display having a resolution of 540×960 pixels and OGS (One Glass Solution) as well, getting its power from a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) paired with 1GB of RAM.

Regarding its memory, Lava’s new Iris Pro 20 has only 4GB of inbuilt storage, but this number can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD, so this shouldn’t come as an inconvenience. Moreover, the device sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, as well as a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, not to mention that its 2000mAh battery is supposed to offer up to 7.5 hours of talktime and up to no less than 400 hours of standby time per single charge, as the company claims.

The connectivity chapter of this Iris Pro 20 is represented by the usual 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Micro-USB, Bluetooth, as well as Wi-Fi, but you should also know that it runs on an older Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS version and we have no word on a software update in the near future.
