Google Nexus 7 Second Generation Release Date, Price and Specs Leaked
With all the other big names releasing tablets this summer, Google couldn’t stay behind. So, this July, we will be facing the second generation of Nexus 7. As our source points out, the price will begin at 229$ for the 16GB version and grow from there for more GB – . this might affect sells because of the smaller price tags of other tablets from Asus, Acer or Samsung. The device will look similar to the previous version – the Nexus 7 that is already available on the market, but it will come with a better display (1,920 x 1,200 pixels resolution) and of course with improved specs and features.
The Asus Google Nexus 7 Second Gen might come with a quad core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 processor, along with better LTE connectivity and probably with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean pre-installed, though we can’t be sure about that until the specs and features are officially announced. The new Nexus tablet is rumored to compete with Apple’s next-generation iPad Mini, but we’ll be able to gather more info about this topic as soon as Apple will confirm its upcoming iPad Mini.
As for the Google Nexus 7 (the first one), it is now available for $199, with 32GB. It comes with a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor for faster response and a 1280 x 800 high-resolution display. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, unlike the second generation version which might run the latest Android version, 4.3. The tablet also comes with a pure Android user interface along with Google Play, from where you can get over 700,000 apps and games.
We’ll be back with more news and info, after the official announcement. Until then, we’ll just let you think of specs you’ll like to find in the new-to-come Nexus 7 second gen tablet. Also do share your impressions related to the rumored price tag, as for now everyone is talking about the same.
