Galaxy S5 to Come in Standard S5 and S5 Prime Versions
With just a milestone before the launch of the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S5, the famous smartphone is said to come in different models, like standard and premium, the latter one supposing to sport a high-end resolution of 2560x1440x1920x1080, with the standard version hitting the market a couple of weeks later. Samsung is just playing around with different names to give to its two flagships, and a “Spiegen case for the Galaxy S5 on Amazon” lists the two versions, naming the premium version of the S5, the Galaxy S5 Prime.
Samsung is still keeping the name and the design of the two models hidden and it is quite an uncertainty what Spiegen is stating about the names of the two handsets, perhaps it is just a matter of interest since it calls the “S5 Prime tentatively”.
More than that, the photos might seem to be a little bit suspicious, since some of them shows a “hardware home button” that the others don’t display, so it might strike our curiosity that this will not be the actual S5 Prime high-end mentioned in the listings.
Still, if the S5 Prime is the real name for the high-end handset S5, then this is a clear indication that the Prime suggestively found in the title, will be considerably different than the standard version S5, the first sporting a 2K display.
Since there are only three days left until the big debut of the Samsung Galaxy S5, we are looking forward to find out more about the next generation of the best-selling Samsung flagship, and all the rumors associated with the different names for the standard or the premium versions will have been eventually unveiled.
We should be able then to find out if the Spiegen listing was accurate in the case of the upcoming models. Do you agree with the S5 receiving the Prime name? What other names would you give the famous smartphone?
