Vodafone Gets Priority on the Gold Galaxy S5 in the UK
The Vodafone British based network will be the main carrier to deliver the Samsung Galaxy S5 in gold, white and blue colors in the UK, having priority in front of other networks also interested in getting the device, especially the gold edition, in the UK. More than that, Vodafone has already announced that the device will be offered for pre-orders starting with March 28, prior to the official release due on April 11. Thus, you have little time at your disposal to start pre-ordering the gold edition. The Galaxy S5 will also be available in other European countries like Spain, Germany, or Austria.
Samsung released a worldwide obsession with the special style that the Galaxy S5 has to offer when it was first publicly launched on February 28, at the World Mobile Congress held in Barcelona. Now, the Korean manufacturer has turned its head towards glamorous colors like gold, in order to attract more customers.
But there was a long way until the S5 received the “copper gold” edition to the range. Samsung started with the Galaxy S4, which seemed to be regarded as an unattractive phone, then the Korean smartphone maker improved the looks of its flagships by launching its golden hardware, culminating with the stylish Rose Gold Galaxy Note 3 in January.
Now, the Galaxy S5 comes in gold as well, though it is not that subtle as the Note 3, since the device`s edges bear the same silver color that can be also seen on the other S5 models.
As for the prices involved, there are no details rendered yet, but we will soon be able to find out more, when Vodafone is expected to release the official prices for the Galaxy S5.
To be a reminder, the Samsung smartphone manufacturer released the Galaxy S5 with some specs worthy of a high-end device, like a 5.1-inch touchscreen with full HD resolution, which is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor.
More than that, the device runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat with new features set for its TouchWiz UI, and plus more other important software features. But perhaps, one of the most expected features of the device, is its rear 16-megapixel camera with 4K recording mode and autofocus, hooked on a front 2-megapixel camera for advanced video calls.
All those are simply enhanced at a strong 2800mAh battery that can uphold long web-browsing and other connectivity capabilities.
