Learn to Turn on LG V30 Smart Stay Feature
As many of you know, the Smart stay feature uses the front camera to sense when you are looking at your device and it keeps the screen from turning off regardless of the screen timeout setting. The feature of the LG V30 is called Smart Stay is one of the reasons why certain users called it one of the best smartphones of 2016 and even if it has quite a few months behind it, it is still a surprising handset.
Therefore, this feature allows the user to activate the display or the screen of the LG V30 just by looking at it. To be more precise, the handset that you own has an eye symbol that is used as an indicator for the user to let them know that if the eye symbol shows up on the notification, it checks to see if the user is looking at the screen.
As you can except it, the eye symbol appears and disappears at regular intervals. Using the front-facing camera, Smart Stay can predict whether you’re actively looking at the screen, keeping it from going to sleep during reading or other use.

Keep though in mind that Smart stay may not work when the source of the light is behind you or when using the device in the dark, when your LG V30 is not held upright, if the front camera fails to detect face and eyes (and this happens more often than you’d want) or when the front camera is being used in an application.
