Learn to Use the Notch as a Battery Bar on Asus Zenfone 5Z
Not every Android feature from the early days of Android has stuck around. And not every new feature is something to love. Well, one of the biggest trends of 2018 and 2019 is, unfortunately, the display notch. You might see there a second stereo speaker, or enhanced camera capabilities that were impossible otherwise, but get serious. Most of the times the notch is useless. And it looks ugly and it just gives you a hard time accepting it.
What about the ASUS flagship ZenFone 5Z? Your handset is considered a worthy rival of other famous high-end devices. Even so, like other Android top-tier phones, it also features the notch on top. If you don’t like how your ASUS ZenFone 5Z looks like this way, or simply wanting to remove it altogether, you can clearly do so. Or you could try something a bit different.
Do you like the sound of using the notch as a battery bar on your phone with the help of a live wallpaper? That’s exactly what I have in mind for today.
Why doing that over completely removing the notch?
If you are still undecided, let me tell me you my reasons for taking such an app. First of all, the procedure is incredibly simple. You just have to pick an image of your choice and add the battery bar to it with custom colors and percentages. Add a battery border around your wallpaper and you will see the difference.
Besides that, you can start selecting the kind of notch your phone has. The app contains all kinds of notches that have come out, including for your Asus Zenfone 5Z phone.
And don’t forget that the Notch Battery Bar app comes in two versions. There’s a free version that has one wallpaper, and a paid one that lets you select any wallpaper you wish and then place the battery level bar on top. The paid version of the app is $0.99. It isn’t too much since it is bringing the useless display notch to some use by adding a battery status bar across the notch, right?

- If you like it, go for the paid version: Notch & S10 Battery bar – Live Wallpaper.
If the notch still irritates you to no end, then think of an app that can completely remove it. You will probably feel better this way.
