Watch YouTube Videos without Going Off WhatsApp
If you’re using an Android phone, then I bet that WhatsApp is included in your daily routine. You wake up, drink your coffee, take a peek on Facebook and start a fresh conversation on WhatsApp.
We are all doing pretty much the same thing. When someone shared some YouTube links on WhatsApp, you know what it used to happen. While you click on the link, it directs you to the YouTube while eventually minimizing the WhatsApp.
This isn’t what you want, right? It basically stops you from continuing your conversation as you watch clips and means you have to continuously switch back and forth. That’s already solved since now you can easily play YouTube videos on WhatsApp by just clicking on the link to the video. Yes, just give it a try too!
Much easier this way, right?
So, when you tap on a YouTube link in a conversation, you no longer have to leave the app in order to watch it. Instead the video appears with a floating window on the screen and you can easily message friends and watch videos simultaneously.
You won’t be able to update the quality or enable the captions on the video, but I am fine with that. Picture-in-picture makes it all possible, so I am glad that this feature is here. And you can also keep watching the video while you navigate to another chat. Then, if you want, feel free to resize the video window using a pinch gesture. Or easily maximize it to full screen for a better view.
And it isn’t only happening to you, but to all of us. So, you can also send a YouTube or Facebook video within a message rather than just a link. The so-called Picture-in-picture mode will display a video box without leaving the main WhatsApp app.
Were you aware of this feature of WhatsApp? If you know any other similar features, share them in the comments. We all want to get the best out of this app and it isn’t always easy.
